I have tried to get help from Dell without success, and I have also sought advice from my IT manager at work but again without success. No X-box or realtek so not those. I do not have this issue on my son's MacBook.Putting the huge touchpad directly under the spacebar is part of the problem.The tendency is for the wrists to fall and rest Microphone issues.

Instead of complaining, people are switching to external keyboards and mouse devices so manufacturers keep doing what they do. I encountered this annoying problem with it.

I first searched for new drivers and didn't find any. Other people do not type QWERTY style the way I was taught so they do not position the thumbs over the spacebar. It's been a frustration since I first got 7 - I was naively hoping that SP1 would fix it, it didn't. On my Asus UL30A, this meant right-clicking on the Elan Smart-Pad icon in the Systray (bottom right), selecting the Elan tab in Mouse Properties, clicking Options and then Tapping. Also, when I use it to point and click, most of the time nothing happens for several seconds. Great technology sometimes bring minor irritations.
