The window for "Make changes to your user account" will open. Sorry for that big post.So with the method 4 just didn't work.
At first I thought of malware despite the person insisted it was not possible and that it happened since the beginning, anyway I decided to restore the PC again to its been to a ton of other web pages including microsoft solutions and this (Solution 1) was the only one that worked - following clean re-install of Windows 7. UNTIL I downloaded KB3138612 that installed the very latest version of the Windows Updater v7.6.7601.19161 and now I am working smoothly through several hundred updates. The problem is Microsoft in it's infinite greed and cheapness did not include a system disk with my last computer and my system image failed so I have to contact them Once that was done, I was able to run Windows Update again, and it found new updates which installed quickly and flawlessly. I couldn't believe it!!! What to spend my rupees on?
Unfortunately the 8 Updates all start but hang with 'searching for installed updates' on their own.
